Where do South Africa's rich live?

Sandhurst in Johannesburg is South Africa‘s premier millionaire playground.

The Sandton suburb is home to 130 multimillionaires – those with assets of R120 million or more. Two other Johannesburg suburbs, Hyde Park and Bryanston, are not far behind, each with 120 multimillionaires.

The New World Wealth report showed that Johannesburg was home to half of South Africa’s high-net-worth individuals (Those with assets worth R12 million or more), followed by 19% in Cape Town and 6% in Durban.

In Cape Town, Camps Bay has 50 multimillionaires followed by 40 each in Bishopscourt and Constantia and 30 in Tokai. There are 60 in Umhlanga and 10 in La Lucia in KwaZulu-Natal.
